生活型

形態特徵

  • Small evergreen trees.
  • Leaves thick coriaceous, obovate, 2–3 cm long, 1.5–2 cm wide, rounded and emarginate at apex, attenuate at base, margins entire and somewhat revolute, glabrous and concolored on both surfaces, lateral and reticulate veins indistinct; petioles ca. 2 mm long.
  • Male flowers 3-merous, usually 3 in a very short peduncled cyme; calyx shallowly lobed, lobes valvate, rounded at apex, puberulous; stamens usually 12 into 2 series; females flowers 3-merous, axillary, small, 3–4 mm long; calyx brownish tomentose outside, lobes 3, sometimes 4; corolla lobes 3 or sometimes absent.
  • Fruit ellipsoid, ca. 10 mm long, black.

分布

  • 台灣 : in forests along the coasts of the Hengchun Peninsula and on Lanyu Is.
  • 世界 : West Africa to India, Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, Malesia to Australia, the Ryukyus.
